I mean, it's sour!

Same for yogurt. Spoiled milk with fruit chunks.

because it does get moldy, worse looking, and by far worse smelling...

I had this debate with some one once before... I wouldn't eat their sour cream because it had expired.... he said it's SOUR CREAM. Wasn't enough to convince me to eat it passed the expiration date. The date is on there because it can and will go bad. Just like any other dairy product.

milk sure as heck doesn't go "sour" after it gets old. it gets putrid discusting throwup in your lap horrible, but not sour. sour cream is fine with it's sourness, but when it goes bad, stay away.

because after awhile it turns into "green cream" and then it's a totally different substance than sour ceam...

believe me, me and my fridge know all about it
