eat eggs. maybe 2 everyday. this will give you protein or amino acids so yu can grow muscles. but make sure you exercise or use up this protein.

i heard from someone that you can get the amount of amino acids in one of those "body building tablets" from 2 egg whites. the yolk part has cholesterol so you might want to deduct that.

i'd also recommend lots of whole grain stuff like wheat bread.

go out and eat... just make sure you exercise so you would gain muscle and not fat.

If you want to gain weight safely but without the use of supplements... eat protein... lots and lots of protein, and start lifting weights. Take it a little easy on the weights as your still growing, I would say go with lighter weights and higher ( 12 to 15 reps ) versus higher weight and low reps... save the higher weight and low reps until your a little bit older. honestly at 13 your hitting that awkward stage of growth spurt skinny anyway... your body will fill out within a year or two.

But without supplements eat alot of protein... eggs, peanut butter, chicken, steak, ( chicken is ideally the best for you ) also for energy eat alot of carbs too. cut back on any junk food consumption. what you want is to safely bulk up, and you do this by feeding your muscles, protein is the building blocks of muscle.

Work out.

Do low reps(6) 3-4 sets.... gaining in muscle weight with each rep. Example: 10lbs, then 12.5, 15, 20, etc.

Do full body workouts...Not just upperbody. Don't neglect the legs and back. You want to build a strong core also.

Eat and eat and eat. Not junk. Have a protien drink with carbs before workout and then another one after work out.

If you want to thin out after you have worked for a while do extra cardio. That way you can show the hot chicks your abs :)

Don't bulk up too much yet. You're too young. A high protein diet is the way to go (chicken, fish, beef) but too much of it will cause alot of health hazards (high cholestoral, etc.) If you plan on doing that, make sure to work out on a regular basis as well (cardio!!!!)

Eat a lot of peanut butter. It's a healthy source of fat and its high in protein. In general, eat everything in sight!
