I heard that when you look back, you can only think of the happy times with your past relationships, and the pain from the break-ups wont be that bad.

No, we think of the unhappy times too, but maybe we realize life is getting short and why waste time thinking of unhappiness. I have had lots of discourse in my life, but I am not sorry to have gotten through it because it has made me a more compassionate person. After all, how does one get "wise" if all angles of life are not experienced!?

no thats not true --- i dont look back except to think what i need to improve --- and i look at both the good and the bad times
