Hey,

Two days ago I bleached my hair Blonde (Or so the cover said) and a pro stylist did it, but apparently, my hair came out Reddish/Orange not blonde at all. The night he did it, it was bright blonde, now, it's just Reddish/Orange. Now, I'm about to go redye it cause it's horrible, but I'm not sure if it is ok or it will harm my hair. :S Thanks.

Ok,

I went to redo it cause I just couldn't stand it anymore. Lady said since it had been bleached only, she applied some special color into it, now it looks more natural and pretty cool. But it feels very light and I'm scared it might be severely damaged. What should I do to take care of it?

You need to have a toner placed on your hair to counter act the red in your hair... it is probably either a shampoo or styling produce you are using that is making it look this way. Ask you stylist to use like a sand or champaigne blond toner on your hair. It should help.

If you are going to do it at home wait a week. Make sure you don't wash your hair the same day you are going to do it (need oils in you hair and scalp to protect them) and make sure you do not get anything that has red/strawberry/or golden in the name.

Good luck.

First of all, what is your natural color? If your natural level is light brown or darker, then you need to use bleach and a toner to achieve a more natural look. If your hair has been colored already, another color will not lift it any lighter, bleach is necessary. If your hair is healthy, I would recommend going to a professional and getting high- and low- lights. If you keep dying your hair at home, your just going to end up with damaged, unfixable hair. (I'm a stylist and deal with this problem very often)Good luck!

Get a dye that's all natural and not permanent. There is a solution that you can buy that you put in your shampoo and use every day to get out some of the red but I don't remember the name of it. I think you can get it at wal-mart and its in a little bottle. I use to keep my hair blonde and when it didn't turn all the way I would wait a week and redue it. If your hair drys out get a really good conditioner and a hot oil treatment.

sounds like you need toner to counteract the red, if you redye it could turn out strawberry, sounds like you need hilites and lowlites for more natural affect

You probably should wait a couple weeks to re-dye it. It can be really bad for your hair if you do it to often.
