How do we remove the residue on the inside edges of the skillets?

Soak in hot water...

I soak mine for an hour or so in hot water with an Electrasol dishwasher detergent cube, then scrub it with a hard brush or steel wool pad. It works great and cleans the heck out of the sink, too.

What kind of skillet?

Use an SOS pad (steel wool) gently. it will come off

Also Lysol Bleach bathroom cleaner. This stuff cleans everythign

My boss cleans her oven racks and burner rings this way..it would probably work for pans, too...She puts ammonia/water and vinegar in a large black plastic garbage bag, tied securely, and places it in the hot sun. Then, the junk easily comes off.

I put mine in a sink filled with hot water, and about 1/2C of bleach. Cleans, sanitizes, and also removes any oily film that may be in your sink.

Fill it with hot soapy water and put in a dryer sheet. Let it soak a few hours.
