Chikungunya is not fatal unless you are very old, very young, or very unhealthy but if you do get it and take precautions then the odds are that you will not die from Chikungunya.

If I thought my child or my parents were close to death with this virus, I would start them on Vitamin C & B I.V.'s and use tanic acid. I have researched this and found there are many ways to help prevent acquiring the virus and there are many ways to eradicate it. http://curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=833&i=1

Chikungunya is not generally thought to be fatal there are a lot of deaths that are surfacing between the ages of 55 and 80 years of age in the Hinnavaru areas, Reunion Islands , and India it is from a human being biten by a mosquite, and the human must stay at home in a tent for several days is one of the symptoms. However, the person has a life-term immunity to survive. It could be a fever or a virus from Africa
