The god of the bible has made various claims about the world: The origins of man (disproved by evolution), the world wide flood (disproved by geology), the birth of languages by the tower of babel (disproved by linguistics and its historical branch pointed out multi-languages extisted longer than that), the shape of the earth (disproved by mathematics and physics, but nowadays Christians want to pretend it didn't say it was flat), the ability for everyone to turn away from sin (disproved by psychology points out sociopaths that are biologically unable to turn away from "sin"), etc.

How many more claims do we need to disprove so that you Christians can finally accept that your god can be and has been disproven?

Well the God of the bible can be disproven as you have shown. To prove the non existence of something you just have to prove the contrary. Which is done.
They mainly try and take the arguement to "Prove the non existence of a 'supreme creator' of some sorts". Without telling you that they have switched definitions mid stream. This cannot be proven to not exist
Christians will strip any argument down to the floor boards of reality if they want, and aks 'well what is knowing'. Not to learn, but to win the arguement. They play word games. The christian God is somewhat of a moving target. But Many of the christian Gods have been DISPROVEN.
They keep saying this because the christian God is a moving target. So they are now talking about a different God. They switch definitions. All loving is somewhat all loving. KNowing is so smart he knows how to hide his tracks etc. So they are of course always going to remain convinced you havent proven anything. Not untill they pin their beliefs down, and then look at them will they see the error in their reasoning

Try studying a little more, Jethro. NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that the world was flat. I love the way atheists interpret things they have no understanding of, such as the Word of God. The THEORY of evolution has never disproved the origins of man as described in the Bible. Even scientists will admit that. It is a theory. When and how did geology disprove the flood? Never heard about that. Is that in Atheist Weekly or what? Not once did I ever hear, nor was I ever taught that the 'birth' of other languages happened at the tower of Babel. Merely that God confounded the speech of those working to build the tower, even though He knew that they could never reach heaven. He did it to crush their pride. And your claim that sociopaths cannot turn away from sin? Correct in the sense that they cannot do it without God. With God, ALL things are possible.

Do you know how little your pathetic claims really mean? I have personally met, and have had the pleasure to hear declare the gospel, a man that is crushing atheism in places where atheism has had a hold for over 75 years. A man that is taking the gospel into more places in the world than any single person since the apostle Paul. God is moving, and your silly denials of His existence have no merit, and are powerless to stop the things that are about to come to pass. Click on school of christ international dot com, if you doubt what I tell you. Surf the site well. This man is truly led of God. He has no personal gain, other than eternal life through Jesus Christ. He owns nothing. He gave up the church he pastored for over 35 years to start missionary work at 72 years old. He is now 87 years old, and his schedule would be too much for young people to handle. It is a shame that you are so ignorant, because God can save whomsoever He will. Why hasn't He saved you from yourself? Probably a question of worthiness. He does love you, but He resists the proud, and certainly unbelievers.

People quite often, as you have here today, make the claim that they can disprove God. You people tend to act like Christian people are uneducated and blind to see the truth. You throw out statements like "disproved by evolution" and "disproved by Geology", but you never have any hard fact to back it up. Yes, the creation is disproved by the THEORY of evolution, which scientists everywhere are working like crazy to revamp. Why you ask? Because it isn't good science. Yes, according to our new knowledge of how we can look at rocks and date them and look at formations in caves and date them and so on, we can prove that the flood didn't happen. But you have to realize that it is just a man made system, a formula that determines these things. Well, I could make up my own formula, disguise it in scientific terms and pretend to be able to tell you the age of the rocks I find down by the river... and that would be science right?
-Define the question
-Gather information and resources
-Form hypothesis
-Perform experiment and collect data
-Analyze data
-Interpret data and draw conclusions that serve as a starting point for new hypotheses

So some have done these things repeatedly and can prove that the world is only 6000 years old. Others have gone through the same process and concluded that the earth is 4.5 million years old. Science rarely determines something to be absolutely true, because it is all based on ideas, theories, hypotheses and interpretation.

As far as the linguistics go, I doubt very much that are you able to determine when different languages came into existence. And if you could, you seem to have left out an extremely important detail of the story of the tower of babel... the bible never states nor gives any indication of when that happened or how long Adam and Eve were in the garden before they fell. Who knows, it could have been a very long time?

And finally, the reason Christians "pretend" like the Bible never made the claim that the earth is flat, is because it didnt. Yes, "Christian" philosophers and such may have concluded that (along with every other philosopher in their day), but when you find it in the scriptures as a factual statement, let me know.

Please, if you are going to argue with Christians about the existence of God, do it with more detail. Show me the data from the tests and then tell me what the preconcieved notions of the scientist was before he started. Did he begin with the idea that the earth could not possibly be only 6000 years old? Where is this linguistics branch? and how exactly did they determine when the story of the Tower of Babel took place? I would like to see people who stand behind Science so much, give a little more attention into proving your point.

According to the Trinity doctrine, Jesus is God, but a separate person from The Father. The doctrine teaches that there are three separate persons -- The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit -- who all comprise one God. If this teaching is true, there should not be any scripture in the Bible that portrays Jesus as an entity separate and distinct from God -- separate and distinct from the Father, yes; but not separate and distinct from God. By way of comparison, note that there is no scripture in the Bible that portrays the Father as a separate and distinct entity from God. It would be utterly ridiculous, confusing, unnecessary and contradictory for the Bible to repeatedly refer to Jesus as an entity separate and distinct from God, if Jesus is God. But the scriptures you quoted do exactly that. Again and again they speak of Jesus being at the right hand of, not the Father, but God, thus contradicting the Trinity doctrine. Since the Bible is God's word of Truth, the fact that it so often contradicts the Trinity doctrine can mean only one thing -- the Trinity doctrine is false. (John 17:17) I suspect -- because I believe most people have at least a modicum of intelligence -- that deep down, many Trinitarians know that the doctrine is false. But pride and/or a desire to fit in with the 'Christian' crowd compels them to play along, pretending or convincing themselves that they believe it. Many are thus in a state of denial about this falsehood. Just look at how they answer the question. Many won't even address the particular issue you have raised, head on -- because they can't. Their only option is to ignore it and quote other so called 'proof texts'. This is not because they lack intelligence. It is simply because there is no credible and satisfactory argument to disprove what the Bible -- God's authoritative word of Truth -- very blatantly shows.

You can think what you want but it looks to me like you don't know the bible or Christianity. Not all Christians are creationalists. Some of us know that evolution is true and see it coincide with the bible. Whether the flood was world wide or not is just a matter of interpretation, no one can disprove the bible's claim about God creating the different languages at the tower of Babel. And I've seen it before on here that people think the bible says the world is flat. Nowhere in the bible does it say that or imply that. And God can heal a deranged mind that comes to him. Have you never read the story of the man named legion that was such a lunatic that he had to be chained so he wouldn't hurt anyone? God only reveals Himself to those who believe. Atheists are like the Pharisees in the bible times. They said to Him,"Show us a sign that we might believe". And He said, "No sign shall be given to you except for the sign of Jonah." That's called testing God when we ask for proof. Come to Him in faith and He will show you as He has us that He is real.

The "god of the bible" did not make "various claims" that: "The origins of man" (I'm not sure if that is a "claim"), the "world wide" (really wide) flood (that's not a "claim" either), the "birth" of languages by the tower of babel, the shape of the earth (definitely not a "claim"). None of the things mentioned above were in the Bible. And oh yes, the "ability for everyone to turn away from sin". You're right about that, I have to admit, for the person who typed this question completely does not have it.

Simple. Having talked to him, seen his miracles, had him comfort me when needed, strenghten me, guide me, and love me, there is no question that he exist. Its kind of hard when you are standing there talking to a person and having them talk back to be convinced that he doesn't exist.

As far as the things you listed as proofs. The Bible claims that God is the one who created man. Whether it was "instant" or by a series of steps - God is still the one who did it. Evolution does nothing to disprove the existent of God. Rather, if it is true, it is a conclusive proof that Someone started and guided the entire things. So God exist. (It is called "Intelligent Design").

Language: Nothing in languistics disproves the story of Babel. The fact that there are multiple language as far back as writing (the only way we have to track languages) has existed neither confirms or disproves that at one time all the people in Babel had a common laguage, and then they didn't. The events of Babel appear to predate any formal writtten language (no where in scriptures does it speak of anything being written before Babel), so if there is nothing written to preserve the language, linguistics will never be able to confirm or deny the events.

Shape of the earth: Please note that NOWHERE in the Bible does it say the earth is flat. If it does, please quote me chapter and verse. It is not there. That was a commonly held belief in the middle ages - 1300-1500 years AFTER the Bible was completed. The Bible is not at fault for what people decide to believe a millenuim and a half later. (Besides the whole arguement with Galileo was NOT about the earth being flat, but about the earth revolving around the sun.)

The ability to turn from sin: Probably the number one area where Christianity has been proven again and again to be true. History is full of multitudes who have turned from their sins through faith in Christ. There has not been a sin that Christ has not been able to free people from - if they choose to be freed. And there is not a person today who Christ can not free from their sins. If you argue that there are physical conditions that might prevent their being freed, then it is a good thing that physical healing is another one of the blessing that Christ purchased for us at the cross. If there is something physically wrong, he simply heals it.

None of those things that you listed in any way invalids the Christian faith. Rather, they can be shown to be proof that God exist and Christianity is true. Too many people over the centuries have been saved from their sins for it to be false.

Based on your claims you show your lack of knowledge. In order to disprove our God based on the bible you will need to at least have a decent understanding of the stories and concepts presented. Otherwise you will just open yourself up for ridicule from christian scholars who can easily dispatch your argument.

1 The bible talks about creation in a very general and possibly symbolic way.

2 The flood has proponents with evidence on both sides of the fence. This would be a rather weak argument to use. Again, it is possible that it is a symbolic story or a regional flood. Floods from their perspective would seem world wide.

3 It never said that all languages came from Babel, just that those present had their languages switched around.

4 The bible doesn't talk about the shape of the earth. It uses figurative language such as "to the ends of the earth" etc but that in no way says the earth is flat.

5 Unable to turn away from sin? It is hard but that is our struggle. With God's help I have turned away from many sins. I may fall once in awhile but he is faithful and just to forgive me. The bible never claimed I would be perfect.

So, your argument is very weak. Try again.

You did well to emphasize "Christians." You'd be surprised to learn that in the early centuries and etc they understood that the bible was Allegorical in many regards and they didn't perceive the OT God to be a literal thing. You haven't disproved the God of the bible man has merely proved that it isn't historical, but was it ever meant to be is what you should ask yourself. Many Atheist mean well but they however reason from in an reactionary way and never see the purpose of scriptures which has nothing to do with history.

They seem to forget that "proving the non-existence" of something is a logical fallacy. If science can't prove something yet, they have a tendency to default to the "God did it" rationale (for lack of a better word). I wouldn't say God has necessarily been disproven (see logical fallacy) but I would say that as science advances, it is able to point out that all the "God did it" things in the world really aren't "God's work". For now, they just stick to the grand delusion.

And for the guy that said we should see evolution all the time, if it is true - WRONG. Evolutionist estimate that the planet was created 15 BILLION years ago. Natural selection/evolution works over thousands and thousands of years. As of yet, I'm unaware of anyone, scientist or not, who has lived long enough to see any changes for himself.
