My hair is very straight except for a small section in the back that is totally wavy and holds curl well. Irons cannot straighten it. Is there an opposite perm or something to make it straight and to stay straight. I have long pretty hair and I love to wear it down, but I am uncomfortable with this section of hair in the back that is just so wavy. It looks awful. Didn't have this problem until I had kids....

have you tried using a straightening product on it ,then ironing it?
also try using products with moisture , not proteitn.
towel dry before conditioner and rinse with cool water.
next time you get your hair done ask the stylist to show you which brush to use and how to get it straight. there is a way, but honestly, it's too long for me to write and you to read.
2 of my sisters (twins) have the same thing. after i showed them how to straighten it they got it. but i had to show them and have them do it themselves so they know how to hold their hands.

I have very thick, naturally curly hair and when using a straightening iron i can get mine straight. Maybe try going to a salon and purchasing some "smoothing lotion". That stuff works wonders. Especially with the straightening irons.

go get a CHI TRANSFORMATION SYSTEM at your local salon, it takes a while and sometimes a little pricey, but with just a small section of hair it shouldn't be too bad, i use it on my clients all the time and it is permanent straightening, works great!

Yes they do sell permanent straighteners. Or go to a salon to get it done.

Get a straightener done at a salon. But don't try at home.
