Belief in psychics is the easier way of dealing with problems. Some individuals want some other magical force to help them instead of doing the work themselves. That is also the reason religion is so popular.

Have you ever got a phone call and knew who it was before you looked at the caller ID?
Psychics are not stupid in general. There are some out there that are not correct though.
If psychics are stupid then you need to add yourself to that category. We all have some psychic awareness and some are better at using it than others. They are gifts to all even though some may use them wrongly. Look in the Bible and read I Corinthians either chapter 12, 13, or 14.
What I don't get is why people ask such weird questions like this one. Why are you closing off your mind to all possibility? Oh I know the answear to that one!!!!!!!! Is it "FEAR"

Some so-called "psychic" talents, such as remote-viewing were proved to be effective by both the C.I.A and the KGB. True, the ones that go around advertising their "psychic powers" in the newspapers and on T.V. are outright frauds and charlatans, but this doesn't mean that we should completely dismiss the idea. Remember, science has shown that humans don't even use half of their full mental capacities, we don't know for sure what the human mind is or isn't capable of.

Psychics predict the future. Psychotics believe their predictions. As for science, how does it explain the fact that so many people die from taking prescription drugs that have been approved by the FDA, when taken as directed? How does it explain the awful side effects that occur with the use of these 'scientific cures'? Side effects that are by far worse than what the drug was prescribed for? Let science explain and change that, and I might be slightly impressed.

Because they are grasping at straws. Didn't Ronald and Nancy Regan use a "seer" in the White House? So stupid people can run a whole country I guess.

I am a Christian and I believe most psychics are fakes, they are people who need attention and need to think they are special. But some are real like some people who help the government and the police. I think that is a gift from God even if they don't know it.

Science is the study of what you can see, smell, touch, hear and taste. So science cannot explain the supernatural, they can try but it's not always going to work. People believe in psychics because they are looking for something to fill that big gap in their life that is made for God.

I don't believe they are stupid, gullible perhaps but not stupid.
Most "psychics" are very skilled at something called cold reading. It can be quite deceptive.

They believe in a lot more than psychics. And yes, it can. If it hasn't, it will.
