Birds do have ears, it's just ON their head and not really sticking out of it. Birds also have one of the most respectable levels of hearing over all animals. In a single sound recognizable by humans, a bird could hear 10 separate notes. They can hear lower notes than most animals can.

Also, birds can feel/hear vibrations through their feet so they can tell when worms or other insects are in the soil.

Cool, eh? :)

Here is an interesting fact about owls ears; they are slightly offset, one lower than the other. This allows the bird to "triangulate" on a prey animal like a mouse. When they hear it they can tell immediately where it is. By the way, the tufts on an owls head are not ears.

Well birds hear better than people and it depends on what kind of bird you have. I have a bird and her ears are near her eyes (she is a cockatiel) and actually they are under her orange spot of her feathers and her ears look like holes.

Bird’s ears are holes on the side of their head that are hidden by feathers.

Good gracious of course they can hear. On the sides of their heads when the feathers are blown back, you can see the holes openings or ears.
