My 60 in plasma is holding up perfect with my wall bracket's. Go to lowes or somewhere and buy you a wall mounting kit. Don't go cheap. spend the bills.

Yard sales are a good option. You'd be amazed what you can find there.
Also check out discount and outlet stores. You can get items for less than half off because of some absurd cosmetic ding that will need up against the wall anyway.
I hope you got the Plasma TV cheap. The ones already in homes have been wearing out in four to six years. LCD and CRT are technologies with longer device life spans. My 32 inch CRT TV is stil going just fine after eight years, while the expensive Plasma a friend of mine bought died at five.

I put my 50" on wall using bracket and got a unit underneath for dvd ,sky,tv reciever.
I looked at big coffee tables too as the price for stands where ridiculous .
Ikea had a gorgeous red tv table for £200 but wasnt my colour for room and dont know if its available in other colours
have you got the plasma yet coz its bloomin cool looking i have an alcove in my room opposite the sittee and it fits in nicely,as the plasma was expensive i ended up opting for wall brackets as was worried anyone falling in room sent it crashing over ,its so slim you just imagine its going to topple .

If you can afford a 50" plasma why do you need a cheap stand?!
If I were you I'd get the recomended one for the TV to amke sure it is stable enough - otherwise try searching www.froogle.com -= they search for the best price for pretty much anything!
