What did you want to be when you grew up? Is that maybe what's missing? Are you maybe not fulfilling your potential i.e. with regards to a talent or gift you have been blessed with and you could be using it? What did you enjoy doing at School? Maybe there lies the answer, that you've 'forgotten' a major part of yourself. What is your dream?

You are 24 and have a mortgage? That should make you very happy indeed. I think you are doing well. You probably want too much at too early an age. You also say you have a loving family, but are you loving them back? That is very important. I tell you something though, health is the greatest thing in life, so, so long as you are healthy, try keeping that way by doing your exercises regularly, eat right, take your vitamins and get a periodic check-up. All those might make you feel happier than you are now. But remember the health thing. It is very, very important. And by the way, you can pick up a hobby or two. They work wonders. Sorry to have carried on for so long.

Maybe something has happened to your life when you were a child that you just can't remember. Ask your parents if they're hiding anything, because if they are, that could be a big part of your life. If you really are satisfied with your life, you shouldn't feel this way. Indeed, something is missing, but you have to find out what feeling is arousing in you. If it's the feeling of not being loved, then you can't be satisfied with your fiancee. Try to go about it that way.

One possibility is that you did lose something early in life--a family member, or even a favorite teddy bear or bicycle. Thus a pattern of loss mentality was set up.
Or maybe you are like Neo in the Matrix, dissatisfied with the ordinary apparencies of life, and you want to embark on a spiritual quest.
Another alternative is to get married and have children soon. That will change a lot in you and give your life more purpose.

I think every person on this earth is always striving for something else..it's alway "what's next".
What makes us human is we are always looking for something else to look forward to or we would not have any motivation to do anything.
I agree with you and it's normal.
Even if you won $1 million dollars, you would feel that void. I think as we age and mature, people are more content with the "here and now".
Right now we think, I am still young, what else can I do to make me happy?

If there really is no apparent cause you might just be depressed. Try talking to a doctor, or even a friend. You'd be suprised at how much that can help. A doctor could give you some options to feel better, not just medicine, but exercise, vitamins, being aware of unhelpful thoughts. Just talk to someone.

Have you turnrd to God. If not that may be your answer. He will fill that void. Quit trying to be like others. Just be yourself, and be comfortable with who you are.
