Chances are there is only one pup. I would take her to the vet and they should do an x-ray. I actually dealt with this with my females first litter. She had one pup at 3 in the morning and by 8 I was on my way to get her checked. She did only have the one and was fine but better safe then sorry. Don't give up hope because her second litter she had 6 pups and is now pregnant with her third. I could rule of thumb to follow is to take them about 1 week before they are due and get an x-ray at that point that way you will know how many you are dealing with. Trust me it makes things a lot easier. Just remember to skip a heat before breeding again. Give her body time to heal for the next time around.

Thats way too long between puppies. Phone the vet now & get her in the car. Car journeys stimulate contractions & they usually give birth on the way to the vets. She may just be having the one puppy. But did she look like she was having a large litter? You may have a dead puppy blocking the way if she is having any more. The vet will give her an injection to start the contractions again.

It is possibly she may have only been carrying one pup, but... you'd better get her to the vet IMMEDIATELY just in case there is another or more.
Usually if there is more than one pup, if 2 hr have gone by since the last pups arrived, there could be a problem (pup too large, 2 pups log jammed...etc). After 9 hrs and no other pups, she could be in grave danger.

You may want to take her to the vet to be sure. If she isn't in any distress, she may not have anymore pups inside but it would be good if a vet made sure.
If something is wrong and she still has pups and cannot deliver them, you may never know until it is too late. Take her to the vet!

Call a vet to have her checked, if any are still left he can remove them, they sometimes die inside the Mom better err on the safe side with this one. Or at least call the vet and make sure this is normal.

The white coloring is the recessive gene. I wager your canines is purebred brown. hence all the domestic dogs are heterozygous hence the dominant brown or black gene is showing
