We've been going out for a couple of years and live together, and he's always having his way with me, but then he goes out afterwards. I know he's seeing other women, but when I ask him about it he gets mad and hits me or our daughter. One time he put my hand in boiling water. I really want to get married because I know he'll change then, but he says I'm too ugly and not "Marriage Material"... I know he can't be telling the truth though because he still has sex with me! What can I do to make him show me how much he really loves me?

He does not love you.
If a man loves you, one of the things he does not do, is hit you. Ever. And you stayed with him and he hit your daughter.
Why will he change if you get married? You are being unrealistic.
You need to get out of this relationship immediately. Go to a womens shelter, take your daughter with you and never go back. He is using you as an easy lay, and someone to look after the house. His behaviour is unacceptable, and you should report him to the police for beating you, let alone putting your hand in boiling water.

You can't make him show you anything. You're not in a relationship, he's abusing you and you're letting him. He's an idiot and you need to get rid of him. This isn't love hun, not at all. You don't have to prove anything to get someone's love. It's either there or it's not. In this case it's not. Get some self respect and realize you're way too good for this guy. If he's cheating on you, he has NO respect for you and is putting your life in danger (the threat of STDs!!). Alot men will have sex with anyone if they're willing. Don't confuse an easy sex with love or attraction.
You don't need to worry about what this dude thinks of you. You need to think more of yourself and leave him. Find a friend to stay with or even go back in live with your parents. Just get away from him. You're never (and I do mean never) going to change him. He's never going to marry you. He treats you anyway he wants and you allow that. He doesn't respect you at all so there's no way he's going to commit to you. I'm sorry to be harsh but you seriously need to see this guy for what he is. A LOSER! Muster up all your strength, grab your stuff and don't be home when that idiot comes back. Find a man that loves you for you and doesn't treat you like dirt. This guy isn't the one!

He doesn't love you. If he loves anything it's the sex with you.
Wake up and see what it is.
He put your hand into boiling water and he hits you and your child? you think he loves you?
I would never treat the women I love bad in any way shape of form.
Nothing you do will change this sick guy. The only thing you should do is get yourself and your daughter out of there and stay away from this so called guy.

He doesn't love you and he ruins your self esteem. If he loves you, he should bring out the best in you. Honey, there are so many more fish in the sea, so many more guys you can love who actually deserve your love. Do not ever hurt yourself for some guy who will never learn to appreciate you. The signs are the following:
If you are his candidate for a Booty Call and then he doesn't know you during the day.
If he uses you.
If he abuses you.
If he hurts you. For instance, he calls you Fat. He doesn't tease you playfully, he downright treats you like garbage.
If he talks behind your back about you. If he starts rumours about you...
Understand this, guys can really be evil sometimes. Move on if you answered yes to any of the above.

You could never make him show anything to you. But you can start loving yourself more and more each day. Realize that you are a treasure. Realize that you must love yourself and your daughter enough to get out of that insanity called a relationship. Restore your daughters trust, because SHE must be dealing with this a lot more harder than you are. Perhaps this so called boyfriend can earn his way back into your life, but for now LEAVE him and do your daughter some justice by getting help, getting GOD, and getting your own SELF LOVE back!!!! what are u doin in this relationship.......if a guy had to say all that to me and do what he does i will defenitly leave him.....a relationship works two ways, sounds to me ur the only one bringing ur side. u can do so much better. if he loved u he would take u for who u r.he doesnt respect u....do u really think he will change when u get married?what wud make him change?if he can do this all now, he will do it when u get married as well. he is the only one who can show u that he loves u....

Just stick it out, If he is hitting you, you must be giving him a reason to do it. Try going on a diet, if you loose some weight he may not have to get other women. Stop asking him about other women, its not your place. He is the man ad will do what he wants to do. Its your job to serve him not question him

Why would you want to get married to someone who treats you like ****? It doesnt matter that he still has sex with you.
IT may be that he is with you only for your daughters benefit
Leave him before something else happends to you or your daughter. And why stay with someone who is sleeping around?
