Quite a few religions, Judaism, Orthodox Christian Anglican, High C of E., and Catholic use candles during their services
Catholics use tem less than in the past, but they are still important to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world and of the suffering church.
In the church,s infancy, during the Roman persecutions, Christians had to celebrate Mass in underground caves and candles/lamps were the only source of light. Even though we can calebrate in the open and we have electricity, it is good to keep thinking about those people in past ages who suffered to keep Christianity alive.

most religions will use candles in their rituals or special cermonies . the first one to pop into my head was catholism

They all do. I can't think of a single one that doesn't use candles in some aspect.

All religions and denominations have candles in their churches. Or altars for some, like Wiccans, ect.

Not all religions use candles.
Mormons do not use candles in their services and do not place and light them in their meetinghouses for any ritualistic purposes.
