Hi,
This is become a most common problem,
actually what happend if u going to update some system files from Internet (Microsoft.com) then that websites checks for required files for validation, & Your Copy of XP is Pirated then it will Show this type of Problem.
So Now Solution is that You have to Format Only C Drive Or your Operating System Drive, & then Remember to Taskbar shows Windows Security option , Then u need to Off that, Don't Keep it On.
Hey My Suggestion Is Use only Genuine Version Of XP, Stop Piracy.
I Explained this all thing because I am Only Interested in Research & Development In Software & Hardware. But I Don't Allow to Use Any Pirated Copy.
So Pls. Pls. Pls. Stop Piracy, For Stop this Some One Should Take Step Ahead.

the different 2 solutions listed here are destructive. We additionally now have 2 Lenovo X1 Carbon's and can't get copying to artwork. that's the 1st time i've got seen an blunders like this and does no longer ensue with the different computers, even those with the comparable OS. in case you haven't any longer already, ultimate answer may well be to reinstall OS from a abode windows disk and use the cd-key on the backside of the device so as which you do not get each and all the Lenovo bloatware that usually comes with it.

LOL another thief caught with his pants down, and on top of it, he tells everyone about it.
Man... ever heard about Copyrights?
Your kind of behavior is the prime reason why we are now stuck with anti-piracy software that invades our computers and make the prices of softwares jump to the sky.
I hope that the police knocks at your door soon and to make sure that it happens, I'm reporting you to Microsoft.

If I answered that question here, the Microsoft people would have me killed. Instead get Kubuntu, which is free and a better operating system anyway, because my family would miss me. Try a google search on Kubuntu to find it.

never update xp of the internet. once you installed it. just don't let it update itself. insert xp disk in pc while you still on windows. then click install when cd boots up options comes on. then go it will guide you through what to do to install. it gives you and option saying do you wish to install fresh or replace xp files (install xp without formating so tou can keep your files without loosing them)
just remember, DON'T UPDATE XP ONLINE NO MATTER WHAT
hope that helps
