There is no such term as "developed country" and "developing country", especially when we talk about India.
What we have and what we are doing is really marvellous. What we don't have? Telecommunication? Infrastructure? Revenues? man power? natural resources? Technology? Medical science? Software? Industries? Education? .. We have everything.
"Developing country" is the special word used to compare "this with that". We have the "habit of comparison" and we must disallow such statements about India.

Sir! it is a great pleasure for me to communicate with my role model. I am Siddharth Mishra of class 8 and my native place is Meerut. I have just came back from a tour to South India. When you were at Madurai Iwas also there. It was just like your life was going with us. I had seen your home atRameshwaram, your school at Ramagundam and your college at Trichi.
In my view to make India a develop country we should do five works:-
1. Take steps to eradicate poverty.
2. Must not believe in any superstition.
3. Shold give equal respect to the women.
4. Develop friendly relations with other nations.
5. Should do as much as we can to spread globalisation.
Thank You
Please consider if you can have some of your precious time.

First off all the indians should be educated. If all of them were educated means they can develop the economy of our country.
So to raise economy of our country all the people should be educated and in india all the childrens should get compulsary education.. if they are educated means they will know the facts that how to improve the economy of our country.
Secondly the corruption should be avoided. If the corruption is avoided the economy of our country will be definitely increased.
thridly the population of india should be reduced. If the population is reduced the sources of income will be increased and we can increase the economy of our country and in future definitely our country will become a developed nation.
So these are the important things to develop in india to become a developed country.

Firstly i would like to state that India was never a poor country. We were the most ancient, most civilised and cultured in the world.
It is the invasions that led us to be were we are now. If we could follow all that were in our country before invasions i.e right from Indus Valley Civilisation we can be far ahead of any other country in the world.
To develop our nation following has to be done,
1. rule out all corrupt leaders.
2. develop our indian agriculture.
3. make india self dependent in terms energy, food and clothings.
4. protect wild life and forests and promote nature tourism.
5. get drinking water from the ocean by desalinations. this will protect ground water, rivers, lakes, prevents natural calamities and also can generate electricity and salt as bi-products.
other sectors are any how working well

Dear Sir,
Thank you very much a such a lovely question. My answer to this is as follow:
1) Our laws need ammendments. We must have some basic criterias or segment where no body should have rights to change or interfear in it. for eg: A) There has to be a law which indicates that no political party can touch those points which is going to disturb or weeken the countries safety and security.
B) There has to be a basic high qualtification required to enter in to politics becasue today every body has made joke of the politics. Most of the criminals and non educated people are sitting at the place where you need intellectuals to sit and take the decision for countries benifit. No person with the criminal background should be allowed to contest the election.
C) There should be very strict and separate laws for the people who will be entering in to politics, as those are the place through which the future of country is decided. The rules has to be such stingent that any body entering to politics should know that if they commit crimes or do some thing which disturbs the country then they will behanged to death. I think this will solve 80% ofthe problem of our country. Today all laws are for others but polititans and there family memebers free to do nay thing they want.
d) No polititians should be allowed use caste, religion, creed to get the votes. The election campaine has to be totally on perfomance criteria and development criteria.
2) We must see that we invest on the infrastructure development which is the big hurdle for our future growth.
3) We must plan and work to see that in comming five year no new person up to the age of 18 is left with out education and should make education compusory.
We must spend money for creating good education facilities all over the India where people in rural areas must have access to education instead of giving reservation to different community.
4) Sir, I would like to personally request you as you are the most powerful person in the Indian politics to ask all poiticial to stop playing with people and dividing them further by giving them reservation in different segment. This will create a great problem for the future development of the country because all intelligent people will leave the country as they will not get opportunity and the people who are not capable will get in admission and degrees for which they are not capable or even deserve. i do not thing that this will do justice to our country on the contrary we will further create a big division in the society. We all talk that britishers have ruled our country ( On divide and rule policy) i think same thing even worst our polititians are doing to further divide the society and no body is there to oppose this? I think atleast you can do this Sir?.It started from Bc. then EBc. then OBC, then it will be muslims. and so on why not a single polititian or a party is telling that this reservation is wrong.
why cant we support the poor class of society by giving all basic needs for educations like light, books, good library, may be person attention by some professionals. Why cant we recruit NGO's to see that this part is taken care? Wy is not Government giving funds to the real professional NGOS to take care of this issue and make them accountable. or may be create some structure which will be accountable and has to achieve the goal to make India a educated society in some specific targetted years.
I would like to request you to really get some actual inquerry to know that really in last more 60 years of reservation Who are the people Who has been benifited? Is it really helping to develop the really needy people or it is going to some group or class which is closer to polititians? I am sure you will get the reply? Why can this be done and have open discussion on this issue till the solution is found in the forum.
5) We should teach a lesson of pertriotisum from the class one and see that atleast we can change the future genration and make them petriotic to the country. i think if a person i petiotric to the country then all the problems will get solved Automaticlly.

Be a part of ASEAN and continue Look East Policy vigorously. Should leave the almost defunct SAARC and Commonwealth whose permanent head is the British Crown. Modernise the military and start Chief-of-Defence-Staff post for Defence which is neccessary in modern Military. The paramilitaries should remain under Defence Ministry and not Home Ministry.

To make India we should make industries, roads should be repaired, in every village there is water and electricity, no poor, every one treated equally, every one should be educated, practical knowledge should be greater than theoretical knowledge, family planning should be there, more hands more money should not be taken as a criteria, the people governing the country should be educated, there should be technical minds, people should be more dedicated to their work, Indian economy should be well managed and as India is an agricultural country it should gave more attention to food.

The mindset of the people should be developed first.
Civic sense, cleanliness, a feeling of ownership of public facilities ( that way they wont go about burning busses, stoning trains, and damaging furnitire and sound systems in parliament as a means of protest)
The process should start from the uncouth hooligans we vote to govern us.
People should learn to maintain decorum and speak in a civilized manner, and not make stupid statements against the president.

India is very developed. Look at the software support, technologies, fabrics, exports, etc., and home industries.
India is very resourceful and doing very well!
If it is the poverty you see, think about it in relation to the size of the population. In the west there is poverty as well, perhaps not on such a large scale, due to the smaller population in comparison with India - but there is harsh poverty.

If the majority of people have access to electricity, clean water and sanitation systems, health care and educational services then they have become developed. The country must also reach a certain level of literacy and mortality rates would have to be reduced.
