me and my boyfriend are finding it difficult to talk about us. how do we start doing that without him feeling as though i am pushing it. ever since we started dating about 4 months, all we've basically established is that we like each other and that we're not playing games on each other as we're both looking to settle down, but we have never really talked about our feelings for each other. bearing in mind he's the kind of guy who likes to take his time, how do i start the conversation which will encourage him to talk about us without feeling uncomfortable.

well 4 months is not very long
that is still the getting to know you period

but
you should have already talked about goals in your life or his life
what you want to accomplish in the next few months/yrs

if you have not talked about this yet don't worry just go with the flow for a while longer
after about 9 months -yr is when you should know each others goals

Whats the rush? Take your time and enjoy being together.
The more time goes by the more you will to know each
other. If you are worried about making things uncomfortable
then why push it? I don,t know about the relationship, but
sometimes guys are scared of committment and get frightened
off.

Start doing things together and find the things you have in common to work on. That usually works and you can build your relationship on that..and then you both will be talking more..it worked for me.

over dinner!

Start talking about your feelings, and ask him not to butt in, then ask him, and let him speak, never talk over the top of him.

When he has finished, ask him questions! keep the lines of communication open!

Always open with "I" statements, never "you", it will get him offside!

tell him how you feel but in story mode

once upon a time there was this girl called........and she.......etc

sometimes its just easier for it not to relate to yourself directly
