The general consensus is that a "healthy" amount of weight to lose per week is up to 2 pounds. Clearly you've gone way beyond that by losing 18 pounds in 4 odd weeks, but I'm not going to criticize you for that as often for people starting out on a diet they're going to see higher than average result. Good work on the weight loss. Take it easy, though: you'll want to try and ease up a bit with the weight loss as you go down in size. You want to avoid putting your body into a state of shock - as you definitely don't want your metabolism to start slowing down to a snails pace. Just make sure you're not starving yourself.

Don't pay any attention to diets or any other gimmicks on the internet. They're pretty much all BS, the only way to achieve and maintain weight is to commit to healthy eating and regular exercise. Don't think of it in terms of days, health and fitness is not a project it is a lifestyle choice for life. You will achieve your short term goal before long. But it should not be the end.

how are you doing it? are you doing it in a way which you can keep it up until you're at your desired weight, then maintain it as well?

if you have lost it by a crash diet, you will gain it back, but if you are doing it in a way which you can keep up for a long time, then that means you'll probably keep it off.

i have heard, however, that for most people one pound per week is something that can be kept off permanently, and after that, it's probably too fast to maintain the necessary lifestyle changes.

wow, I'd go work out with a personal trainer to help you do the right thing. But losing 18 pounds in one month isn't that bad!

So as a person that works out regularly, work out with a personal trainer to help out with the rest. They'll give you goals and other acheivements you can do with your body.
