has Ouija Board actually left for America to visit Kingmambo yet?
Haven't seen anything but just curious.

Not yet. Ed Dunlop was interviewed last week on Attheraces and said that she is currently in a paddock, presumably at Stanley House Stud in Newmarket, but is still scheduled to travel to the USA for her date with Kingmambo.

As she is a maiden mare (never having had a foal before) I presume they will aim for a late Feb/early March covering.

Apparently she will remain in USA to foal in early 2008, be covered again and then travel back to the UK with her foal at foot, once she has been confirmed in foal again. These plans could always change though.

I would have thought that they'd like to try and get a covering by Sadler's Wells, and as the old boy is 26 now they may not want to hang around too long!

No Ouija Board retired. Just a day before she was due to run in her last ever race, the Hong Kong Vase, a slight injury was discovered so she was retired. This was very sad news as if placing second or higher in the race Ouija Board would have become the highest earning British Race horse in History and this was a distinct possibility as the Racing Post forcast her to be a clear favourite at 6/4 with the second favourite being Admire Main and a lot longer odds of 9/2. current plans are to breed her to Kingmambo at Lane's End Farm.

No, Ouija Board, the Supermare & Globetrotter is gone to green pastures so to speak; just a day before she was due to run in her last ever race, the Hong Kong Vase on Dec 10 2006, only 17 days after she raced against the boys and finished third to Deep Impact the Japanese Superstar( retired too) , a slight injury was discovered so she was retired.
She won the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Female Turf Horse in 2006. She also won 2006 European Horse of the Year and 2006 European Champion Older Horse.
When she won the Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf division on Nov 4 2006, she had to go to Japan the long way, from Kentucky to Belmont, NY to London to Japan.
I didn't have a good feeling about her racing at the Hong Kong Vase on Dec 10 and my presentiment was dead on, she could have gotten really hurt.
