There is no guaranteed way to age a grey parrot.
If he was under five months his eyes would be very dark, but this fades so that at 9 to 10 months old you can see the white iris in his eyes clearly. In older more mature birds (7.to 8 years) the iris may turn cream or yellow in colour but this does not allways happen.
Birds over 15 to 20 years may develope very scally feet. I have seen birds at two years look identical tgo 30 year old birds. If he is wearing an identification ring it may have a year number on it such as 01 or 02, my bird has a 97 ring on his leg. so I know that he is 10 years old this year.

hi I have an Africian Grey also he is 8yrs. old. I got him @ 5months old.I was told that you can tell the age of them by how much white they have around the eyes.as they age the white grows to be more grey then white. My friend has 1 that is 30 yrs.old & has very little white,it looks like a very light grey coloring around his eyes. And if you want to know they sex of your grey you can almost tell bye the head. when you hold it on your hand straight up look across the top of it's head.if it's a little flat on top it's a male.rounded it's a female, but the only sure why to tell is to go to a good vet that does birds& have a blood test done, but I was told it's very painfully for the bird as they draw blood from their little legs.I wouldn't do it to me grey unless I was using it for breeding reason. hope this helps you. have fun with your grey they are very smart & loving bird.have a good day

You can't really tell by looking. If it's really sweet and cuddly it's probably still immature. Once they reach about 5-6 they become sexually mature and a bit more aggressive with others but still great. They live as long or longer than we do so 3-4 years is very young.

Go and speak to an expert - there may be a way to tell, but the person before was right by saying that once they sexually mature they change a little.
