I would like to try the new glosses if they are more like a conditioner and less like color. I have no color in my hair because I don't like the damage it does or the upkeep it takes to keep my hair looking good. If they ARE more like color, then would it be OK to apply at home? Or should I leave them to a professional? Thanks

Gloss/Glaze... lots of names for it. THese are awesome. I am a hairstylist, and no... these are not damaging as long as they are considered semi permanent. Manufacturer will say or admit if you call hotline. Semi permanent means no ammonia whatsoever. I use semi perm glazes on my clients all of the time. Rather than like a normal color that opens the hair's cuticle depositing color inside the shaft, a glaze sits upon the hair's cuticle never opening it (meaning no damage) As a matter of fact, this smoothes the hair's cuticle and protects it, also giving amazing shine. Go for it! Love it. Good luck

I have coloured hair and not impressed with the glosses. I tried one and found the colour on the box was not the correct one for me, I have an odd colour hair now and waiting through a few shampoos to get rid of it. Then go through the process of choosing a correcting colour. Arghhh!!

It looks v. weird, but indeedy shiny. Hmm, its not worth it.

Glosses do have a colour additive to them.

If you have nice hair, think about using a more natural approach. Anything applied to your hair via chemicals will do something to your hair.

There are temporary sprays that are available.

Good luck.

any heat to hair damages it! use a heat protection!! and if you could a deep condition about once every week or every other week. I cant recommend a good heat spray because Im still trying to find one but I just bought the l'oreal damage conditioning in a yellow can and it makes your hair feel amazing!
