because they run on the Unix kernel and most viruses are made for PC so there for no viruses for mac... but if you using any Windows programs you may be able to get infected

Historically MAC was the first operating system with an easy user interface and became popular. However Steve Jobs and co who invented the system decided to corner the market.
The only way you could get a MAC operating system was by buying an Apple Mac computer. They would not licence the system. Along comes Bill Gates with his Window's, and any PC manufacturer who wanted to market their product had no choice but to licence Windows as the PC operating system.
Unfortunately Windows is only a poor copy of Mac, and full of 'holes' that can be exploited.
Soon 95% of computers where running an inferior and exploitable operating system (windows) Whilst the better and safer system (MAC) was left behind because its inventors got greedy. In fact they would be as rich as Bill Gates if they had licenced their system for use by other PC manufacturers from the start.

Microsoft has only once tried to build computers, and it was a complete disaster. Money is made out of software, not by building computers.

because 95% of the computers in the world use windows so hackers write viruses for them but as apple gets more popular viruses will get worse for Apple. Viruses are not a problem with a program its other people infectign them. Since windows is the main, basically all software runs on that platform and would need to be redesigned for Apple and then all viruses would be on apple as well so you can;t escape them ever.

PC and MAC are two totally different companies.
Take for instance Honda and Ford.
PC is your Ford
MAC is your Honda

PC is not reliable and crashes messes up and breaks ALL THE TIME!
MAC is reliable because it is first designed to be crash proof and has its own problem solving within the system.
There are VERY few viruses written for MAC.
MAC runs on a different OS so it has different pathways, which is also why you cannot build PC hardware and put MAC software on it. They're different.
PC's are widespread because everyone in the world has something that they can write for PC.
MAC is its own company, and products are not sold to other companies. That is why they are not running with DELL, HP, etc.

MAC and PC are not compatible, not hardware, but little software.
Windows runs on new MAC's but it runs slower because Apple's do not have the components to properly decode PC software adequately.

Apples are not invulnerable to viruses, there are only much less Apple viruses than computing gadget viruses. additionally, in case you have been asking if a mac can capture a working laptop or computing gadget virus, the respond isn't any, no longer as of yet besides.

That would be because the software is owned by Apple. They do get viruses, just not so many as windows based pc's.

Apple computers do get viruses. They're just not as common because the market share of Windows is like 80-90%, so the virus makers target Windows as they have a greater chance of infection by doing that. If the market share of Apple ever got larger than 30% you would see just as many viruses on Mac, believe me.

The reason that pc's get more viruses is that there are lots more pc's in the world than macs and so x times more viruses are created for pcs than macs.

Apple osx runs on a modified unix core and this does not run on normal pcs. you need apple hardware to run it.
