I am a widower and have been dating a widow. Both of us are in our mid 50's and have a few years of baggage, but we are working around that. We get along great and enjoy each other. She was married 28 years and I was married 31 years before our spouses passed away. We are both depressed of loosing our loved ones. Is it possible to fall in love again? I do know that I do not want to die alone. That is my biggest fear.

It is possible to fall in love again and if you have the chance to why not? life is meant for living and we cannot live our lives as some kind of shrine, or lay down and die with those we have lost, they would not expect that of you i'm sure, so while theres life and theres hope grab it with both hands and chose to live, you will always have your memories, but if we had never lost our love ones we would never reall know what it meant to love.... when i lost my mother which is different i know i shed those bitter tears because she was gone but more because there was so much love, and memorie she left behind, live your life, you are entitled to you will find that person, they are out there somewhere.. Good luck.

What has age got to do with it? Your feelings and your ability to love don't diminish with age. I'm 50 and I have to start over again, gee, if I thought I was going to never find love again, I reckon I'd top myself now.
