G-strings like spandex, wearing it is a privelige...think about that! Additionally, you can wear or not wear anything you want but it is not in good taste with Thai culture. You would not like to have someone come to your country and disrespect your culture, so why come here and disrespect the Thai culture?

most thai's swim in shorts and a tee shirt.. some might think you are funny [ strange, maybe deranged ] - 98% will think you are kind of disgusting as modesty is respected here... No decent Thai will want to be seen anywhere near you..

yes but you would not like to see them - big, fat and ugly normally. Youngsters wear something a little more decorous. Thais look on this as very low class behaviour.
