Has anyone yet been subject to the charge, or had their card debited or any emails saying they need to stump up???

no but this extra cash is sooooo annoying, its just the governments way of getting more monay out of us so they are rich and live fancy lifestyles while we go poor and live in our own dirt lol

If you are flying with Ryanair and you booked before the tax was announced, you need to pay the extra £5 before you fly.
If you turn up at the airport you wont be allowed to fly. They will not allow you to pay the extra tax at the airport. You will have to go on standby and pay for the next flight.

I'm going to Mexico in June, and havent heard a thing from my Travel Agent as of yet.

I don't quite see how paying more tax on the flight is going to save the environment though......

Sweden did had a law about envoirenment taxes. But that was cancelled before insertion due to new gouvernment. Johan
