set saturday as the date to give up smoking and I need help. What are the best nicotine things to help me out. I have used lozenges before and think and inhaler might be good. Also any other advice or little tricks to help

I personally gave up using the patches with an inhaler as backup for those stressfull times that happen. Find something to fiddle with when you get bored to keep yourself occupied and try as much as possible to avoid situations where you used to smoke. I'd also advise you phoning the National Quitline on 0800 169 0 169 they can give you lot's of advice and can put you in contact with a local support group.

Go ask your doctor about the medication Chantix. It attaches to the nicotine receptors in the brains and totally negates cravings. >80% succsess rate.
