U need to sit down with them and really have a good heart to heart talk always keeping eye contact. Keep the lines of communication always open. Spend time with them doing the things they enjoy. Explain to them about teenager emotions and that u understand that going through these years isnt easy. U also need to understand that about them too.

Teens never seem to listen...that's part of being a teen. All you can do is stay strong and stick to your rules and consequences. The teen years can be really hard on any family...they are trying to grow up and be adults, you are trying to protect them, keep them safe and sometimes keep them young. Try to keep the lines of communication open...use compromise and open discussions about their "freedom" and responsibility. Try not to get wound up in frustrations and arguments....stay calm and focused. Kids today are dealing with much more than we had to...in so many ways...we need to remember how we felt then and use compassion & common sense. Good luck.

i grew up getting slapped and beat with the fear of god in me

i do not hit but when i say jump he says yes maam and how high

you have to have discipline and consequences
(the mommy look always is good too)
