Someone wants you.. Perhaps you should walk by them again to see if you are still the topic of conversation or if they have moved onto someone else... :D

Two possibilities: (1) She wanted to jump your bones. (2) Because she was blonde she probably was jumping on the other girls begging for treats and attention. And so they told her "Down Girl".

Think the blonde one fancies you. 'Down girl' would be a reference to her jumping around you like an excited puppy (I'm sure she doesnt really do this, its just an expression).

down girl is what you say to a overactive dog

in retrospect it means the girl might like you and the others were telling her to not be so obvious. on the otherhand are you sure it was your name and only your name mentioned?

It means she's heard about your recent windfall and she now has the hots for you. Basically, she was getting over-excited at your mere presence.

and i bet you have a really common name. she was talking about another "bob, bill, joe, or jeff, etc". young girls would not say anything about you if you were within ear shot.
