Office 2008 will be a Mac Universal Binary program. If you had been running Office 2007 I am assuming your using a PC? If so then Office 2008 won't solve your problem.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT FROM: www.microsoft.com
you said that your 2007 has run out? u can fix this by rolling back your time. (DATE AND TIME). e.g. give the year 2000.
