I think you need to judge by the childs maturity but I would not leave a child before the age of 12 or 13. But I know many parents of children that my kids go to school with are leaving kids at 9 and 10 which I think is wrong. If the house burns down or something terrible happens the parents can be arrested, so just keep this in mind.

The legal age is 12. But, it depends more on the maturity of the child than their age. My 16 year old son was mature enough at 11 and 12. My 9 year old son may never reach that level! You have to determine the maturiity of the child along with their age. Each child is different. Some can't be left alone even when they are so called grown up!

If you mean when they are still young and live with their parents then 13, they can go to the mall or the movies with their friends they each should have each others back. They should be able to make their own decisions by what kinda haircut they want, what kinda clothes (not too expensive or revealing). Just make sure and know where they are going and have a a curfew for them. Just don't let them be too spoiled I know a teen that has a mom that lets her get everything she wants, everyday she goes to the mall! And one time her friends went over (in her bus) without her asking her parents if they can come and when her mom found out that they came and SHE had to take then home she got mad, because she had to drop what she was doing and leave drop them off, one of them lived very far. Then some of her friends just go into her house without knocking or ringing the doorbell, they just walk right in and start eating there food. Well just telling you to not let her get too spoiled or independent. Well hoped I helped! ♥

Yes, I'd imagine It would be between the age of 10 to 13. Depends on how mature the child is. some are more mature than others.

Depends on where you are. AFAIK, there is no minimum age in England but I personally wouldn't leave a child under 14 on their own.

When you feel they would know what to do in an emergency - knowing not to let strangers in your home, usual common sence stuff.

Probably 15 but knowing teenagers they will say from the age of 13, coz when they are teenagers they are mature enough.
