I won't worry too much about it. You are only 14 and still have lots of time to grow. I was super short for a long time and then in one summer I grew tons! I thought I was all finished, but nope. If you are REALLY worried about it, talk to your parents and your family doctor. And hey, if you are all done growing, I know a few guys and girls who are shorter and they are just fine! ;0)

Are you a guy or girl?

People tend to grow in spurts rather than at a steady pace. If you are significantly shorter than your peers, ( in your age group) then you might talk to a GP to see if you actually have a growth problem, but as far as I can tell you seem fine. I am only 5'2". If you are a guy, you will not finish growing until you hit about 18-20. Girls start growing earlier but stop much earlier too.

Take Bikram's Beginning yoga class. There are a number of postures in his series that stretch the spine and restructure the skeletal system entirely. No Joke. If you start at your age, you will see changes much quicker than someone who has stopped growing. Plus its a great way to stay in shape and you'll never get sick, even when everyone else around you is.

You are growing and will continue to until the age of about 25. The process is simply slower. Besides, your height depends also on genes.

dont worry, you will grow! i had a childhood friend that was always 6 inches shorter than the rest of the gang.. he started growing when he was 17 yrs old and ended up taller than the rest of us. he ended up at 6 ft. i dont believe there is much you can do to help yourself grow, it will happen when it happens. (short of taking growth hormone)

at 14 you should experience more growth spurts as you age, until around 20 years of age. genetics has it influence too.
