To maintain peace you must be prepared for war. A strong military deters an attack from ones enemies.

It's just like the old saw " guns don't kill people, people do". War started with one human trying to kill another human over something like a piece of land or food or another human, like a female. They attacked each other using what they had, sticks and stones and clubs or fists to begin with, and as technology advanced they used spears and bows and arrows, and with the advent of gun powder, they advanced to guns, etc. ( I left out a lot of other advancements in the interest of space and time)
The point is this: Man does not need a gun to go to war. He needs a reason and with that he'll figure out a way to kill his neighbor. A rock, an arrow or a bullet...doesn't really matter, if he wants to kill someone - and that is what war is - he'll do it.

Because people is not the actual decision maker.They are those who govern and the weapon companies who make use of wars.

everyone does not have a problem with war. those who don't have a problem are the troublemakers having weapons and also the defenders need weapons to protect themselves.

Actually; the People have very little to do with the decision to go to War. It´s the Politicians who are the ones to make the decision. However I do wish to say that the normal working class are dependent on conflicts in the world;unless they wish to be employed elsewhere !

Because the republicans make too much money off of selling weapons to countries such as Iraq that they like to make up lies about and then invade. Anything that makes republicans and conservtives rich makes them go crazy
