I'm interested in a long-term relationship with a guy I've got a third date with. I don't want to sleep with him so soon, as I don't want our major shared experience to be sex. How many weeks/months should I wait to sleep with him? And how should I let him know that I'm not a tease?

Do not have sex with him unless you feel a connection with him. Also, wait till he has declared that he is dating you exclusively.

When its right, you'll want it as much as he already does by default. Until then, is how long you should wait, and if he's not prepared to wait, he's not the right guy.

As far as letting him know you're not a tease, just tell him you do want to have a full physical relationship, but you're just not ready yet. If he is pressuring you, tell him you don't like that.

No more then a month. Most expect it on the third date, but if he respects you he will wait.

I think any time now would be a good time. I wouldn't wait for the fifth date.

Time and duration has very little to do with having or not having to sleep with your partner. Urges, tust and love have. You have to listen to the urges and love and have trust in your partner, because if you don't one of you will go somewhere else and possibly for good. Men have very little patience when it comes to sex.
