I personally do not celebrate VDay. If you really love your girlfriend or wife then you should show her throughout the year. She should show you too! I love it when my husband plans a romantic evening for no special reason. The week before V day take your lady somewhere special and for desert eat off of each other. Tell her you couldn't wait for Valentine's Day to show her how much you love her. Then one week after Valentine's Day, give her a nice gift, or even a candle lit bubble bath, then tell her that Valentine's Day doesn't come around often enough. I would hate it if my husband ran out and bought me some expensive flowers and candy for one day when we can truly love each other year round.

Oh if you have lots of money to throw around may I recommend Proflowers.com. They have fresh cut flowers by the month...On the card message write Valentine's Day was meant for me and you. Since I couldn't wait another year...Happy Valentine's Day Again! Then she'll get flowers every month.

I would like to be wined and dined, either a romantic meal out for in, with a nice bottle of wine some flowers and a nice kiss. Theres no need for fancy things but i wouldnt turn down a white gold necklace either xx

Jewelry and a love note in a card... plus a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant. Or... if you're on a budget... a love note in a card and a nice, romantic candlelit dinner at home... with chocolate covered strawberries for desert.

Plus, if your budget allows... having flowers sent to her home or place of employment earlier in the day is nice too.

An honest man. A man who does not call me ten times a day and when I answer my phone asks why he has not been able to get hold of me. A man who when I get up in the middle of the night to use the loo, ask me where I am going. That's what I want for Valentines coz I am dumping the current model of a man that I have.

The usual: roses, breakfast in bed, chocolate, a card... I am such a sucker for a cliche Valentine! :-)
