Sadly, there is no cure for schizophrenia. It's only *managable* through medication. And the meds MUST be taken. Talk to a psychiatrist who is licensed as a medical doctor, as well as clinical psychologist.

There is no shame in having an illness. The brain is an organ, and can be treated medically. Like bipolar disorder (which I have) there is no actual "cure" for schizophrenia, but a good psychiatrist can screen you for the disorder and meds are available. Sometimes it can take a long time to get just the right combination. If you do not have an official diagnosis, don't assume you have it. See a doc.

People read the question. If you've had Schizophrenia for 15 years you would have to be on med's already and as for a cure i am sorry but it is not a cure-able disease yet i wish it were though.

There is presently no cure for schizophrenia, and the cause of the disease is unknown. Current therapy aims to eliminate or reduce symptoms, minimize the often severe side effects of antipsychotic drugs, prevent relapse and socially and occupationally rehabilitate the patient

In addition to main stream medication (also known as Allopathy), many alternative systems of healing treat you the person. Homeopathy has good solutions to all emotional / mental symptoms. Bach Flower Remedies (called Bach Flower Essences in USA) are also good options.

Reiki and similar enegy healing options are also helpful and don't conflict with Homeopathy etc.
