Hi there, I'm starting a photography business and have been mulling over names for about a week to no success.
Would any one have any ideas on some smart names that I could call my photography business which could also be used for a web site address. (sales will be mostly over the web so catchy names would be my first pick)

As a consumer, I can never remember the ... bit of the name. I would always think photography, or hairdresser, or vet, etc, so maybe start with the photograpy bit (or a variation of the word). The number of time I look in the local white pages, it would help me if it started with "pho...."
Eg Photography World
Alternatively, start with the letter A, you'd be amazed how many category listings on the web will be alphabetical and it will do you wonders to be at the top of the list.
Eg Absolute Photography
And last by not least, if you are going for a website/domain name, then try to get the keywords that people will search on in your name.
Eg WhichPhotographer , BestPhotographer etc
or topic related
PetPhotography or WeddingPhotography , etc

Years ago Andsel Adams had a group called "Friends of Photography"
Once when I was dreaming of my own studio I was gonna call it "Friends Photography"
I wised up for now maybe when I retire I can have my studio

what's your name? (dont write it) but i find the best sounding photographic companies are someones name photography.. ie. John Smith Photography. it sounds more formal and less childish...
