I wore a size 7-9 in JUNIORS...and during my pregnancy I gained in total 60 pounds...my son is 17 months and I have only manage to lose about 15 pounds of it....ridiculous I know!
What is the CHEAP way to lose weight FAST!????
I'm a single mom so money is tight. I really dont eat at all during the day so I know that is a reason why I'm not losing weight. I dont want to get on a diet that you eat like 6 small meals a day, bc I couldnt do that! Please help!

Try the SparkPeople website http://www.sparkpeople.com
It is 100% FREE and very effective.

I lost over 20 lbs (10 kilos) in 3 months.

The program starts slow and easy, but you see results pretty quickly. It kind of tricks you into learning good eating habits.

You do have to eat 3 meals a day. However, I noticed that eating more often did not cost me more money on groceries, because I ate less at each meal, and the foods I ate (complex carbs, vegetables) cost less than the food I had been eating before I started the program.

For example, instead of a fetuccini with 3 slices of cheese, I would eat lentils with veggies and 1 slice of cheese. Cheese is expensive, so eating less of it saved money.

In fact, our supermarket bill dropped!

The program also teaches you how to keep the weight off after losing it -- very important!!!

Anyway, good luck!

You say........" I dont want to get on a diet.....etc..."

That's precisely the problem.

You should eat small meals. But eat frequently, like 6 times a day. Drink plenty of water. 8-10 glasses a day.

Cheap? Go to the library, borrow a CD or a tape regarding weight loss exercises. Jane Fonda made one. Suzanne Summers made one. I am sure there are others. It is free. Price is right?

Now, another cheap method: Go to your local YMCA. Tell them you are a single mom and want to lose weight. They will be reasonable with their fees but you get to do a lot of exercise. They will even give you a professional assessment.

Whatever you do, don't cut back on your food intake. But control your portions. That's the key.

You will actually gain weight if you go on a "diet". It is a four letter word. It is complex mechanism, but in the end that's what will happen - you will gain weight.

Eat less, hold more weight. Eat more, hold less weight. A life paradox.

By starving yourself during most of the day, you are blowing your calorie count by eating a little too much at the meals you do get. So time for a new plan. You're going to have 3 400-calorie meals during the day. 1200 basic. Then between those meals, when you get hungry, you're going to have a small, easily burned meal like some fresh fruit or a half-serving of trail mix. How much can you snack? You want to eat 500 calories less than you're used to, because a slight calorie deficit along with moderate activity every day (30 minutes) should help you lose several pounds of fat per week. Don't think of this in terms of meals; think of it in terms of times during that day that you're hungry.

(by the way, when you tell your body that you can't do something, your subconscience agrees with you, and you don't. Tell your body it can, and it will. Another life paradox, one far more dangerous than that first one)

Anyways, that way you're never overly hungry and your body gets used to burning a little bit of food all the time (which will speed up your metabolism). Also remember that some of the weight gained was because you had to support extra weight - so focus.

Mentally picture yourself without the physical burden of child. Carry yourself like you did before you were pregnant. Don't say, "I'm never going to lose this weight". Just say, "I don't need this weight anymore, so I will lose it." Remind yourself that every day, write it down, write down your goals and stick with them, and you'll do great.

You don't need luck. You just need to realize your confidence. You have it; it's why you were able to bring a new life into this world. :)

Go to the library and borrow the Zone diet and/or the Sugar busters book or book on tape. It will tell you how by cutting out white sugar as well as white refined flour products, carrots, beets, potatoes, white rice, corn, molasses, honey, dextrose, maltose, watermelon, beer to name some of the culprits that cause your insuline to spike and tell your body to store fat!
Welcome to the world of parenthood. Some women are blessed to look like they just got a ball under their shirts while the rest of us blow up like the good year blimp! Guess which one you fell into?! So now that you know that those days of not having to work at keeping slim are over, find a method of excercise that you can maintain.
www.Shapelysecrets.com had a $50 special on their infomercial which said their workout plan was only 7 minutes a day. They claim in 14 days, 2 inches, 10 lbs or 1 dress size loss. Sounds good. Also 26 different studies were conducted on it and found it was sound.

Make sure you eat a healthy and complex carbo-packed breakfast. This helps your body stop metabolizing muscle and gives your brain food to work. As for workouts, do an aggregate of 30-minutes of walking, cleaning, running after your tottler and similar activities.
