I am 52 years old, Not a pretty woman. I am fat. I haven't dated since 1976 partly because I don't think there is anyone decent who would want me. I have been divorced since 1990. I chose to stay home and raise my kids. Somedays I am very lonely. Lately, I have been thinking a lot about being alone. I don't know where I would start. I have had my name on a couple of dating websites and no one answered. I need some advice...

I would suggest not focusing on dating, at first. Since you're lonely, you need to reconnect with PEOPLE. Take up as many social activities as you can handle. Try to avoid activities that will be mainly women, since your ultimate goal is to find a mate. Since you don't feel you can physically attract the quality of mate you're looking for, you need to give them a chance to get to know you so they can become interested in what you are rather than what you look like.

Well first of all, your attitude and self image have a lot to do with what other people think of you! If you think that you are fat and unattractive then that is what others will think of you.
Start by doing something nice for yourself... pamper yourself and so some things that make you feel pretty!
I know that getting back into the dating game is scary... I would start by going out with some girl friends. Have a girl night a couple of nights a month (or week). It is easier to feel confident when you are out with people that care about you.
You will start meeting new people and ease into the dating scene again.
Good luck and take it easy on yourself! There is a lot more to beauty than looks!

Try newspaper adds. The reason and only reaosn why noone replies to you off internet is because it is mainly crowded with youngsters. Not trying to say that you are old but i am sure you cant pull no 30 y old dude to a date so need someone your age who feels lonely just like you are. Now mainly these people are in newpaper adds because they are not as openminded about the whole dating off net thing rather more old school and their generation related methods to date or seek for a date. Trust me on that one.

Well, the first thing you need to do is to get your chin up. If you fix your attitude then everything else is trivial. You are a good person and you deserve to be in a loving relationship. Respect yourself.
Once you're really there, then the rest is easy. Start meeting people. Work on your appearance. Do the best that you can with what you've got.

Well 52 is pretty old for dating but if you feel that you still need to i would advise you to look for those your age or even a little older. you might have a problem because most of them have already found their soul mates but do not give up hope good luck

Don't look too hard and just be happy with urself and ur kids. While ur not looking, sometimes good things happen. Who knows, the love of ur life might show up one day. Don't worry be happy!

U need to know wat scares u.There r places u can hang around where u wil meet people of yo kind,get to know them & hope u make yo self look fine,real gud,appealing.
