How do you stand the constant slurs against your religion?

I have been on this site for only a short period, but during that time I have read countless posts preaching hate against Islam and its followers. I just want to know how it is you manage to deal with it, I myself am polytheist and follow a very different religion, since I think that it is awful that people get away with it. In my view, Muslims are human beings and we are all humans and all one race. Actually thats more than just my view, I see that as fact.

Hi Dear,

The religion you follow will teach you how to stand the constant slurs against your religion..Hatred to Islam and Muslims will not impact the truth and reality of this religion Islam...Even with this rate of hatred and insult just observe how many Christians and non followers of Islam get converted to this true religion....

I suggest you to read the books and observe how Prophet Muhammad (saw PB-UH) has dealt with situations like you have observed...

Have faith in Allah and lets pray for the evil minded people who tease others and doesn't respect the emotions of others...

Let Allah the almighty creator of this Universe bestow the happiness to these non believers of Islam so that they remain in calm and cool nature

Hey.. Believe it or not, I am a Muslim and I am a WOMAN too..
And my religion does not preach hate.. its the minority of losers that have ruined and brought down our religion by terrorising the world...

I get the slurs everyday.. more than you know it.. People see me in the street and give me the finger.. or they tell me to go back to my own country.. when I have just as much right to live here as everybody who was BORN in my country has.

I am an Australian first as my background and second as an Arab... I am a MUSLIM first as my religion... and that's how it is going to be and stay...

Even though I get hit every single day with the same mindless bull crap that spills out of the mouths of many ignorant, stereotyping losers, I still believe that there are good people out there, like yourself, who believe in the rights of HUMANS.. where they are free to practice their own religion and culture...

I have become so immune to all the slurs that all I do now... even though I do it every single minute of every single day.. is suck it up and DEFEND my honour as a MUSLIM, but first and foremost.. as a HUMAN BEING...

i myself am an atheist, but to be frank,while most muslims are peacful, other muslims scare a lot of people. many people don't understand what a muslim is, why do you pray so much? whats wrong with bbq pork ribs? they sure are tasty but forbidden, christian extremists just want a bunch of money, muslims extremists blow themselves up killing as many people as they can, and they don't seem to care whether or not kids are involved,or if they actually acomplish anything other than death and distruction. muslim nations are known to treat woman like property, india has had a female death rate of 60%because of domestic violence. We put them in a prison. they slice our heads off and show it off on the internet like it's a game show, can't you see a problems with all this. if a christians were suicide bombing. other christians would be severly upset and doing everything they could to stop the trend. i just hope muslims will help do the same to there own kind when they can help. and if you don't like the iraq situation thats Bush's falt not ours, but of course all the muslim armys had to do was wave white flags let our army move peacfully in let us build them new houses, powerplants, and a meaningful future with new schools and industries. but no we are the infidels now because we want to bring there people into the modern age. in the usa you can be all the muslim you want as long as you don't do anything illegal, if you do you might go to prison. if you even carry a bible in saudi arabia at least from what i've seen and heard they will cut your hands and or head off right then and there even if your kids are in the car. can you see at least a little bit why people are upset and scared of islam.

Some people just want to spread hate and lies.
Their questions and answers should be deleted & their accounts should be closed immediately!!
Especially the people who pretend to be of a certain religion, in order to insult that religion.

I am often hurt by the attitude and unkind remarks of some of the people here. But people like yourself make it all worthwhile!
I wish others would learn that kind of tolerance.

I am sure about my religion and I love my Allah, so no matter what some of the hate-mongers write here, I am CONVINCED of the truth of Islam.

As a polytheist you are in grave danger from all monotheistict religions. Just ask the desert nomads or the celts or the people of greece/rome that didn't want to give up their gods for jesus or Mohammad. Mohammad himslef slayed many people in his time, he was a conqueror, and pagans were his to conquer.

Islam is a respectable religion. It is those adherents to it that preach violence, hatred and enmity for Western culture are the ones to be ostracized from our society. Ultimately this is a problem which well-meaning Muslims must help the world to solve.

yes I agree it's awful if your a Muslim and you have to stand these bigots. There's nothing about though - these are ignorant fools and you shouldn't be worried about them. If you are a decent person, irrespective of the fact that your a Muslim or any other religion, these people who insult your religion aren't worth your space and time.

Abby, you must learn to consider the source. I guess it is a maturing point. There are an awful lot of visceral, acidic idiots out there. Why should their opinions count? Listen to the opinions of people you esteem, respect and value. The rest is garbage.

What a crock!!! This religion promotes hate , violence , intolerence ,uncivilised behaviour , injustice towards women etc etc.Go try to live as a Christian in an Islamic State!!!Go talk to the refugees who have escaped massacres & brutality at the hand of Muslims in Sudan.Unfortunately the soft western attitude towards Muslims in their countries discriminates towards them at the expense of their own citizens of other faiths , particularly Christians.

OK here is a thought....maybe it is because every terrorist attack ever made... except one... was done in the name of Allah... how can a religion that preaches so much hate and violence be good? and all we do is feed it so we wind up with Islam saying that they found north America before Columbus and all manner of things just like it... i would say it comes with the territory.
