If you go to Google, click the More button, you'll find a list of services and one is a Maps and routefinder.
You type in where you are, and your destination, and it plans a route. You can copy and paste that into Notepad then print it out. Its on this page;

mapquest is a good site for directions. If you have a printer you can print the directions out also. It gives you the roads, estimated time of arrival and distance.

Google maps are usually quite good for directions, and also Microsoft's Live maps are good also - they sometimes give different routes so try both.

Use www.multimap.co.uk it will take street names or postcodes, and there is a directions / route button as well.
