Love is a kind of emotional bondage in which we love to be and also keep the person we love. As nothing in our mind has an independent existence, love is also a reflection of social norms and it is a part of culture. In a society where polyandry(where a woman marries more than one man) is accepted form of marriage, you will not find the emotion of jealousy when your partner is making a move towards your shared wife. But in monogamy which is most accepted way, those rules of society that are imprinted into our mind such as virtue, jealousy, sanctity etc and we call them emotions.
