We are all trying to be better people. Non of our religions teach murder, rape, abuse, crime; we are all taught to be kind to others. Yet we are all so quick to dish out negative comments and actions towards others. Everyone bashes on one another, what does that solve?

I think it is denominations of churches, each one has a different way of worship and convey to the people that theirs is the right way and if anyone isn't with them, then those people have to be wrong. Then more than not think it is their God given duty to point a finger when in truth Jesus said when you judge, judge righteous judgment but show mercy and faith, meaning see the truth and love like God loves and believe for people to see the truth also.Like hold out your hand to help not point fingers.
It's really sad to me to see how Jesus still hangs on the cross to a lot of people when in fact he is sitting on the right hand of God wanting to be a blessing to mankind.

I think some people just want to feel superior to another. If it wasn't religion, it would be race or gender or something else that makes that person different.

Most people just bash on each other on here to get attention or jump on the bandwagon (be it Atheist or Christian). I rarely take it seriously because that person obviously needs attention in their "real" life and just can't get it. They also usually don't have the bal*s to say that to anyone in real life but will do so behind the safety of their computer.

It just boils down to people not being secure in their own beliefs. If you're a true Atheist or Christian or whatever, you know you'll encounter people who bash you but, you'll roll with it because you actually believe in what you've chosen.

Plus...some people are just bullies and desperately need to be pimp slapped. lol Sorry...couldn't help myself.

Probably because we are stuck at the place where it says that we should pray to only one God (our own), and can't look past it. It could also be that years of teaching through our spiritual leaders have led us to believe that only our religion is true and correct. The fact is that a comparable list of sins and commandement exist in every religion for example the 10 commandments in Christianity, the Nauda-bhakti in Hinduism and a similar list in Islam. The question may be why all religions have similar attributes and different names for God could it be that God is same for everyone but how we say his or her name is different.

Basically, when a person who is a member of a labeled group commits an atrocity, it gives that group a bad reputation. Certain religions have had members that have acted in ways to give a very bad reputation.

Look at it this way, if you joined the KKK but didn't act on your beliefs, you would still be subjected to prejudice based on the fact that you're a member. Much in the same way if you identified as a Nazi but kept your opinions to yourself you'd still be persecuted for your beliefs.

Not that I'm comparing religion to fascism or racism, but you get what I mean right?

No, Not everyone. But, some religons are so far out their. Teaching people their is no Hell, thats bull and they will pay for their mistake. You dont think Hitler is in hell. Theirs a lot more than Hitler in Hell, and theirs a lot more room for others. They travers land and sea to make one single convert and when they do they makle him twice as mutch a son of Hell as themselves.

Judgment: To hand out a sentence or give a punishment, as in the Judge sentences to you life in prison.

I do not judge. I correct.

Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. And I have the right to disagree with them.
The moment we start limiting those named rights under the guise of "political correctness" or "let's all just be nice" is the minute we lose freedom of THOUGHT.

the only thank you to unravel it is to verify your person responses and thoughts once you have been disrespected. look into the motivations at the back of the question you're asking and what you need to get from it.
