Love cannot be described in words. Its the most wonderful feeling that someone can experience, i believe that one can understand life only after truly loving someone. When you love someone its displayed by affection. You feel that you care for that person genuinely. You can be affectionate without loving the person as well. Affection can be physical as well as emotional and vice versa or combined for instance since you are emotionally bonded to the person you might be affectionate by a touch, hug or kiss, in the form of gifts or you are just there with the person. Its a difficult question, but i hope that I've been clear. :)

love is the umbrella term and you can find affection underneath it. love is a type of respect and admiration for someone. affection is the action that accompanies it
