Doubtanauto is a small farming town that is quaint, but not exactly a "holiday destination" -- sometimes it is referred to as Dubbo.

Clearly it's not another name for Dubbo since Dubbo is in NSW.
Wikipedia has a series of pages listing towns in Victoria

I went through all the towns beginning with the letters in your scrambled word and found nothing, so I suspect it must be a suburb of Melbourne.
But sorry, it's been over 10 years since I visited Melbourne, and my knowledge of it's geography is a bit hazy.
