It looks like an active air field. One of the aircraft is being worked on at the lower end and another one is moving down a taxiway toward the non-movement area at the south end.

Some of the buildings around the non-movement area (where the planes are parked) are obviously hangars. At least one of them near the hangars has to be an emergency response building. At my airfield there were old wing-mount shells stacked up all over the place, but I don't see any here, and I don't see the little baggage trucks or maintenance trucks, indicating that the base has light traffic and perhaps no weapons handling station on the base. There are a couple of fighters parked away from the runways.

At the southern end of the buildings is a group of four with dark tan roofs, just south of that is a single building with a lot of vehicles parked around in the dirt. That looks like a shooting range. Just west is another area that looks like a military junk yard (we call them DRMO, a place to store old military equipment that can't be disposed of). Just above that are fuel tanks for the planes.

I also don't see any high-security buildings. They're usually surrounded by 2 or 3 rows of fencing with cameras and security gates. High security buildings will also usually have satellite antennas pointing south at stationary satellites, which I don't see.

If you look at the main runways and between them, you'll see all the little buildings: LSO shacks, emergency landing systems, generator buildings, and others further from the runways are likely for transmitters, receivers, and airfield lighting equipment.

If you look at the easternmost runway, at the north end, just before you get to that circle of desert, there's a road going off to the east. Follow it all the way out, and I think that's the air search radar site.

Others I can't say. They're not related to the airfield itself unless they house the men and women serving in the wings. For some reason the control tower isn't obvious.

Looks like an unremarkable airfield facility. Just what is the fascination people have with all this UFO conspiracy nonsense, anyway? I swear, people watch way too much X-Files and stuff on TV and actually let it get into their heads that there really is an Agent Mulder and aliens sneaking around trying to steal your hair follicles. Just because the government isn't forthcoming with absolutely every iota of information it deals doesn't somehow AUTOMATICALLY mean that it's hiding aliens in some kind of fanciful Will-Smith-Men-In-Black fantasy. The government wouldn't be doing its job if it told civilians everything, nor would the US remain safe for very long afterwards. Things that people take for granted--like freedom and guaranteed safety--do come at a price, they're not just magically bestowed by fairies (or aliens--take your pick, it really doesn't make much of a difference.) People really need to find more productive ways of spending their free time, instead of obssessing about rubbish like aliens and Bigfoot and conspiracy theories.

Only certain people in government know the full story. Even those who work there have limited access and knowledge. They are confined to what they do only. The govt. does not deny its existence, but is tight lipped about what goes on there.

Now that Area 51's existence is public, everything was moved to a new location. The area is now basically a public decoy.
