Yes but you will not get an honorable discharge.

don't go to your drills, if you do go refuse to cooperate at all, sit in a corner and do nothing.

They will kick you out eventually.

This is called contractual commitment.

Yes you can get out of the contract but there is a price to pay, the question becomes is an Other than Honorable, Less than Honorable, or (very unlikely) a Dishonorable discharge worth it to you?

Best way is to just do your time..
If you get yourself kicked out you'll receive a dishonorable discharge that will haunt you forever, and in some states you can't own a gun with a dishonorable discharge and it may screw you on several jobs..

or get into trouble. smoke some weed, claim you are gay. or do like Jimi hendrix did and become a chronic masturbater and keep getting caught.

yeah they pretty much control your life but you sign a contract when you first join for a certain amount of time/years. If your hurt yourself and cant work i think that would be one way to get released.
