You dont like him? Give me his address I could do with a handyman. Enjoy it while it lasts.

if you have been honest and you have said you want to stop seeing him socialy and he is ok with that. but still insists on doing the work for you be gratefull and thank him.
alteratively just thank him very much for all the work he has done and you do not want him doing anymore work for you as the relationship is over and you feel bad about taking his skills and feel bad about him spending his money on the supplies.
not serious to a guy normally means great the romance is still on with no comitment.
you need to spell it out in no uncertain terms.
but be polite and thank him for all his work and say it is not fair to keep him dangling and have him do the work without you paying for it and you are not able to pay him for the work.

if after you make it clear that it is over he insists on finishing what he started at no cost to you, thank him. allow him to finish providing you get him to write down up front that he has no plans to charge you for the work. that way should he change his mind you have a letter or contract that would be legally binding providing he signs and dates it.

if you want to just shut him out then do so, but tell him why.
good luck!

Firstly, it's good that there is no misunderstanding regarding the future between you. However, the fact that you haven't actually told him it is over will mean that he will still be hoping that you might change your mind.
You are actually taking advantage of him at the moment and you still refer to him as your boyfriend so I guess you are simply waiting for someone whom you think you would have a future with to come along. If this is the case, keep him informed of your intentions, be grateful for everything he does, don't ever lead him on or hurt him and enjoy his company while you can.

jeez hun I think you have the ideal man!!!! Why dont you see a future in it? If you're absolutely sure that its going nowhere I think you need to end it - by being with him is an incentive for him to stay in the hope you will get serious - if you're quite sure there isnt one - then Id let him go - he sounds like a lovely guy and doesnt deserve to be messed around.
Fair play to you for having told him you werent very serious - but you need to make a decision regarding staying or leaving.
xx

Oh my, a lot of us would love to have your problem. Just kidding, but I do think it's ok as long as you're honest and not giving him mixed signals, like there is hope when there really isnt. But hey, could it be possible that someone in this world would actually help somone else without expecting something in return?!

Seems to me like he is trying to impress you, and getting into your good books doing your handy man work. If you arnt serious about this guy its best that you cut it now. He sounds to me like he could start taking over your life a bit, as nice as what it is, a man doing stuff for you, you really need to nip this in the bud now, he might resent you if you lead him on with doing stuff for you with no reward at the end of the day. You are gonna have to put your foot down. If a guy likes you he is going to agree with anything you say, just to see you, sounds like this one has the hots for you to me. No man puts himself out of his way and works that hard for nothing.

He's wanting more, even if you have told him otherwise, better let him go now, before he really gets hurt when he realizes its not going to happen.
