Why does Jesus get most of the credit and not God? Didn't God state in the 10 commandments from the Bible "you shall have no other gods before me" but yet we as christians do in a way? I've been going to church since I was a kid, but never really understood the whole "Jesus" thing.........that he's God's son, died for our sins, came to save us, etc. I wonder if I'm doubting my faith...........I want to believe in something that makes sense........I guess i don't wanna waste my time on something that might be untrue.............I mean, don't get me wrong......I do believe in God........I'm just not too sure about the "jesus" thing.........I know that Jesus was a prophet for sure..........maybe the muslims are right? did jesus just claim to be God? I guess I'm confused........why is it that I hear most christians praising jesus and not God? Whenever I pray, I don't mention Jesus as much.........I usually just talk to God and don't usually end with "in jesus name I pray, amen"

Isn't following or worshipping prophets like Jesus and Mohammed the same as worshipping "false idols?" God worked through them to send people a message.......God did not intend for people to "worship" them.............right?

Josephus, a Jewish historian, mentioned Jesus in his writings toward the end of the first century C>E>, roughly 60 years after Jesus' death.
As a non-Christian, Josephus would have no reason to accept the historical reality of Jesus unless there was some sound basis for it.
In one of his works, Josephus discusses disturbances that were caused by the Jews during the time Pontius Pilate was governor of the region of Judea (26-36 C.E,) The disturbance centered around a man named Jesuss and his followers, Josephus identifies Jesus as "a wise man....a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of men who received the truth with pleasure," and he notes that Jesus was later condemned by Pilate to crucifixion. While this mention of Jesu does not suggest that Josephus himself accepted Jesus or the claim made about Jesus by his followers, it does seem clear that Josephus recognized Jesus to be a historical person who had a profound impact on the people he encountered.

Read also about Tacitus, a Roman historian.....Pliny the Younger another Roman source and Suetonius a Roman historian and lawyer.
All these writers prove the historical existence of Jesus......rather than biblical sources.

Why do I worship Jesus? Because He's my Lord and Saviour. My everything. He died for my sins and I shall always be grateful for that. He is Lord of Lords, the Alpha and Omega, Prince of peace, the groom of the bride. Oh man I feel so happy when I get asked about Jesus. "I am the way, the life, the truth. No one goes to the Father except by me". He is the way to God. The Holy Spirit prays for us on our behalf so God the Father can hear us. Jesus who was here on earth, suffered and was tempted like we are knows how difficult it is to be on earth so he pleads on our behalf to the Father.
You see the Devil knows that the way to salvation is to believe that Jesus died for our sins and that Jesus is Lord of lords, that He is God. If unfortunately you don't believe in Him as the Bible says, "you're dead already". That's the tactic that the Devil uses.

Jesus is God. the Bible said that and it still means it. Choose to not believe that part of the Bible and you will be judged. I know you're going thru a tough time believing something like that but just pray to God everyday about it. Jesus is the Son of God and He is God. God bless you.

We worship Jesus because He is the only way to the Father..... First I found Jesus and then I understood God. And no Jesus was not just some man, he was God in human form.

the completed theology of the Incarnation and the Trinity has continually puzzled me. i've got faith it has puzzled everybody who has surely concept approximately it. a super form of the incredibly precise theology around it (from the 4th century) holds little interest to me. each and all of the uncooked textile is in the recent testomony, and one gets a feeling that there are confusing paradoxes in contact. The verses you cite emphasize Jesus as a guy and since the Son; others (John 8:fifty 8 & John 10:30 as an occasion) emphasize Jesus's cohesion with the divine. i've got faith that the two perspectives are in a deep sense authentic. actually God isn't basic for the human strategies to attraction to close, and that i doubt the apostles might have invented something as intellectually messy like the Trinity for purposes of prevailing converts. i think of this merely the closest we can get to grasping it in this existence. on the different hand, there are components of the Gospels that talk lots greater needless to say. Jesus fairly rose from the lifeless, many human beings testified to this to the factor of dying. and a super number of what He asks human beings is as sparkling because it incredibly is problematical. as an occasion: Luke 10:25-37 - the forged Samaritan Matthew 18:21-22 - Forgiveness Mark 10:17-31 - entire dedication in the not likely experience I completely grasp that attitude to existence, i will circulate directly to attempting to comprehend the Trinity at a deeper point. Have a sturdy day, and peace be with you. greater strategies are on my blog (link below) while you're curious.

Jesus is not God. At Luke 4:8, he directed all worship to his Father, Jehovah, the only true God. John 17:3

I would think because it is easier to follow a real human being rather than an irrationality named god. It's a human thing to follow others more intelligent than themselves. And we do it all the time. Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Jesus, Mohammad, Moon, you name it we follow. A lot of them claim to be in contact with a god. Adds weight to their claim of being correct.

God is one being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a mutual indwelling of three persons: the Father, the Son (incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth), and the Holy Spirit. That is basically the concept of the Holy Trinity.

Jesus is God. Ask anybody. This is not a secret.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou has seen me , thou has believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. -John 20:28&29.
Jesus is not a prophet or God's helper, he is God.
