If you read the Sugar Busters or the Zone diet book or listen to the book on tape. It will tell you that the reason for the U.S.s' sharp increase in Diabetes and Obesity is sugar. Not only that but it is a slow poison for your body. The off limit foods are beets, carrots, white sugar, white flour products, corn, molasis, honey, dextrose, maltose, beer, potatoes and ketchup to name some that I remember off the top of my head. I noticed when I cut them out my weight went down. Eating them again within moderation I've increased 3 lbs. Only because I am not at home to buy according to plan but am at my parents and they eat like they are use to. Salt is fine. We need it. Sugar, not.

You actually need salt, because sodium is an essential electrolyte, and the chloride ion is necessary for digestion. You also need sugar, although natural sources, such as fruit, is better than refined sugar. Of course, it is bad to ingest too much salt or too much sugar, just as it is bad to drink too much water or breathe too much oxygen. Sea salt is better than refined salt.

first off, your English. Honestly though. It depends on what you are attempting to alleviate. Salts are bad for those with blood pressure and water retention problems, while sugar, if not used immediately after ingestion, are stored as fat leading to increased weight gains.
